Bing has launched a new service called Bing Rewards that allows Bing users to earn reward points simply by using the search engine. It’s that easy.
People must first install the Bing Bar toolbar, have a Windows Live ID, be on a Windows machine and use Internet Explorer. No Chrome or Firefox, no Macs 🙁
What does it take to get points?
Until October 2, you can earn one credit for every five Bing searches, and up to eight credits per day.
For signing up to the reward system, you’ll receive 250 Microsoft points. You can redeem 100 Reward points for 100 Microsoft points, meaning that you can receive at least 200 Microsoft points for absolutely FREE. The way to earn more points is to make Bing searches and check out their daily promotions. What can you trade the points in for? How about Microsoft, Xbox 360 games, and more.
For regular Bing users it’s a no brainer, but I’m not sure this is the best way to get new users to try their search engine, but it’s a start.
