After almost three months, Google+ is now available to anyone. If you have not already set up a Google+ profile, as an Internet marketing firm, we’d recommend setting up one. The initial launch in July was only made available to the media and a selected number of people working in technology and related fields. Even with these limitations, Google+ grew to approximately 10 million users within the first two weeks and approximately 25 million users within the first four weeks.
Now that Google+ is open to everyone, there should be a significant surge in opt ins. The initial launch of Google+ included the following five key features – Circles, Hangouts, Instant Upload, Sparks, and Huddles, which you can learn more about below:
Circles allow you to easily group people into separate groups such as friends, family, and professional contacts. This function is more user friendly than Facebook’s, and does a better job of replicating real life experience.
Hangouts are basically a meeting place where you can allow different people/circles to know where you’re hanging out to see who shows up.
Instant Upload enables you to instantly upload your phone photos and video into a private album. You can then determine who you want to share them with.
Sparks allows you to utilize Google’s search functionality and search and share content with friends.
Huddle is a simple way to have a text-based discussion such as planning the selection and meeting time for a movie.

Google is also in the process of adding new features including video hangouts on Android smartphones and content sharing on computer screens.
